Neonatal Unit Refurbishment – Folding Door Installation
As part of a refurbishment programme within a hospital Neonatal Unit, Elite Entrance Systems was appointed to upgrade existing folding door systems to support safe, reliable access in a sensitive clinical environment.
The project involved the removal of five existing folding door sets and the supply, installation and commissioning of five new FTA20 bi-fold door systems. All works were carried out by Elite Entrance Systems’ engineers, including the installation of full safety and activation systems.
Scope of works
- Removal of existing folding door sets
- Supply and installation of 5 × FTA20 bi-fold door systems
- Installation of full safety and activation systems
- Wiring, testing and commissioning of all door sets
- Coordination with other contractors, with final making good to finished surfaces completed by others at project close
Outcome
The new bi-fold door systems were installed, tested and commissioned to meet the operational and safety requirements of the neonatal unit. The works were completed efficiently, with minimal disruption to the clinical environment.
